Planning complex cases together – with clear communication and return referral
Complex cases often benefit from collaboration. We provide targeted support to referring colleagues for questions involving reconstructive planning, implant dentistry, tissues or complex prosthodontics.
An important principle for us is that the patient remains your patient. The scope of co-treatment, documentation and return referral are coordinated transparently.
What does specialist dental collaboration mean?
A referral does not mean that a patient has to change their primary dental practice. In specialist collaboration, a clearly defined question is addressed together – for example a complex implant procedure, reconstructive planning or an independent second opinion.
For colleagues in Basel and the surrounding region, transparent communication, clear documentation and coordinated return referral are central. The aim is collaboration in which responsibilities remain clear and the patient experiences treatment as a coordinated process.

Complex treatment planning or an independent second opinion.

How collaboration can work
Depending on your preference, we can provide only diagnostics, selected surgical or prosthetic steps, or the entire specialised treatment phase. Findings and relevant documents are reported back in a structured way.
Return referral as a principle
After the agreed treatment has been completed, general dental care returns to the referring practice unless otherwise agreed.
